On September 2022 some young European sturgeons A. sturio born in June in INRAE station of St Seurin sur l’Isle (south west France) were stocked in the Dordogne River, close to historical spawning grounds. They result from an assisted reproduction from adults of the French ex situ stock. Reproduction and rearing were realised by NGO MIGADO (Migrateurs Garonne Dordogne) staff. It was the first reproduction from individuals themselves born in captivity.
